An Sheng Business Building

The project is located in Shanghai's core business district, enjoying a prime location and convenient transportation. The client envisioned the building achieving Grade A office rents after renovation, with project quality comparable to that of the Bund's historic protected buildings. However, the building's age and cramped lobby entrance presented the team with a significant challenge: how to address these constraints through design.

After several research, the design team provided the client with a comprehensive solution, encompassing interior, landscape, and architectural design, laboratory planning, conceptual and schematic design. The building's exterior entrance, enhanced by the arched metal foyer, visually elongates the space and enhances the project's quality, creating a seamless integration with the semicircular windows of the second-floor office area. The building's overall facade was also uniformly planned, with the retail space receiving a custom design consistent with the overall concept.

In the lobby area, the design team employed a curved design that effectively alleviates the inherent cramped atmosphere and seamlessly integrates reception, storage, and equipment, creating a brighter and more upscale lobby. The second-floor office area retains elements from the building's exterior: metal, stainless steel, red brick, and carpeting, creating a modern ambiance while also reflecting the stability and trustworthiness of the real estate investment company.
